Back again are the crazy car stunts, over the top action and one of the baddest men in cinema today! Someone is targeting Toretto and his family and if you’ve learned one thing about Toretto, you don’t mess with family. Determined to rid himself and his family of this threat, Toretto enlists the help of those he swore to stay away from, provided he can help them with a big problem. Armed with new weapons, his family and some amazing cars, Toretto sets out at full speed to save everyone he loves. This film also serves as the definitive tribute to the late actor Paul Walker, who died during filming.

Defeating Owen Shaw earned Toretto (Vin Diesel), O’Conner (Paul Walker) and the rest of the crew amnesty. Everyone was allowed to go back to the United States and live as normal people. O’Conner did his best to settle into daddy duty but the thrill of fast cars and danger still beckoned him. He wants Toretto to save a hacker from a mercenary named Jakande (Dijimon Hounsou). Petty believes the hacker has something that could benefit them both. Toretto accepts the deal and sets off to rescue the hacker. Toretto and Jakande’s band of mercenaries clash along the roads and cliffs of the Caucasus Mountains as Toretto and his crew ambush them and retrieve the hacker. The hacker, named Ramsey, then tells them that what Toretto and Petty need is in Abu Dhabi in the possession of a billionaire. After a daring heist and encounter with the billionaires’ security guards, Toretto and his crew retrieve what they need and go after Shaw. When they find out Shaw’s whereabouts, Petty and Toretto quickly descend on him, only to be met by an ambush by Jakande. Forced to return to Los Angeles, Toretto and his family prepare for an epic showdown with Shaw and Jakande on their home turf.

Filming began in 2013 and was postponed due to the untimely death of Paul Walker.
